From stage to screen, Sean and Melissa’s resumes as performers are both distinguished and diverse.  Their numerous Broadway and National Touring credits include Chicago, The Producers, 42nd Street, Curtains, Cinderella, Annie Get Your Gun and Cats, as well as performances with The Boston Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, The Pittsburgh Symphony and Radio City Music Hall.  They have traveled the world performing extensively in Canada, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Japan.  Their film and television credits include School Ties, The Producers, Deception,“American Dreams,” “One Life to Live,”  and PBS “Great Performances,” as well as dozens of commercials.  
 
Sean received his training from the University of Michigan, and Melissa graduated from Point Park Conservatory.
Melissa Mahon and Sean McKnight have brought a unique and exciting partnership to over 30 shows in the last decade.  Together they have a vast background in choreography, direction, and performance for which both have achieved critical acclaim. Sean’s work on Hot Mikado earned him "Best Choreography" nominations for both the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award and for the OVATION! Award.  Melissa’s work on the Kravis Center’s production of As Thousands Cheer earned her a “Best Choreography” Carbonell Award Nomination.  
 
They began their choreographic careers under the tutelage of such esteemed choreographers as Susan Stroman, Robert Longbottom, Warren Carlyle, David H. Bell, Michael Lichtefeld and Liza Gennaro.   Melissa and Sean’s credits include the hit Broadway revival of The Sound of Music and the National Tour of Lullaby of Broadway plus shows for NY City Center Encores!, Papermill Playhouse, Ford’s Theatre, Westchester Broadway Theater, Musical Theatre West, White Plains Performing Arts Center, Red Mountain Theater Company, Merrimack Jr. Theater, Andover Theater Company and numerous productions for the University of Michigan Department of Musical Theatre.  They have also choreographed for 24 Hour Musicals, Ripfest Collaborative Film Project, and Broadway Bares.  Most recently they conceived and created the opening number to the 21st Annual Gypsy of the Year.
